Experienced Housekeeper/House Manager needed for a family in Newport Coast, CA. Their future housekeeper has experience cleaning large homes and feels comfortable managing the home in the family’s absence.
Housekeeper Job and Duties
Clean and maintain the family’s residence on a full-time basis and oversee outside service providers. Over the years, the family have been able to organize the cleaning duties of Housekeeper into multiple lists for Daily, Monthly, Quarterly and Bi-annual duties.
This candidate shall use these methods already established in the household. The job entails expertise about using precise materials to clean and sanitize all interior and exterior surfaces: floors and counters; as well as knowledge about household appliances. Special maintenance of furniture, art and antiques. Caring for all laundry; as well as ironing and steaming clothing items. Monitoring household and grocery supplies and ordering more as needed. Reporting any necessary repairs or replacements. Water interior plants and orchids. Cleaning and prepping raw food for cooking meals. Limited errands.
Schedule:
Monday through Friday 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
Reachable 24/7 in an emergency.
Infrequently, but available to work nights and weekends, when entertaining guests for extra pay. Entertaining experience desired.
Rate:
$25-30 per hour (depending on experience)
Housekeeper Skills and Qualifications:
Prior experience maintaining a large household (12,000 sq. ft home).
Must have their vehicle.
Entertaining experience desired.
Ability to adapt and accommodate the family’s needs.
Has organizational skills to maintain current records of household duties, supplies and service suppliers.
Ability to take constructive criticism, speaks English and has clear listening skills to make sure that the housekeeper is meeting the wishes of the family.
High integrity, honesty, confidentiality and loyalty.
Must have an optimistic personality and willing to commit to a long-term career with the family.
